Bonfire Night 2018
Rob and his team set to work building a massive bonfire beyond tumbledown and harvesting the pumpkins and giant courgettes for the girls to carve. Meanwhile the girls started work on their skits with their form teachers.
After a through check for sleeping hedgehogs the bonfire was lit to the delight of the girls who gathered round with sparklers in hand. After much shrieking and fun everyone was ready to tuck into a delicious hog roast provided by Else Farm Butchers washed down with mulled wine and home make butternut squash soup.
Once everyone had been fed is was time to gather in the gym to watch the skits. This year’s highlights included a Hanford version of Strictly Come Dancing and Little Red Riding Hood while a few brave impressionists gave us their version of Mr J with iPad and Mr J doing a silly walk.
Thank you to Mrs Whyte for providing us with some lovely pictures.
