Bonfire Night 2021
Friday was Bonfire Night at Hanford where parents and girls were able to enjoy the autumn festivities together. After following the lit pumpkins and tea lights down to the lower field, the girls enjoyed sparklers in front of the large bonfire. Many thanks to the kitchens who provided delicious hot dogs, pumpkin soup, cinnamon rolls, lardy cake and mulled wine (for the parents!).
Instead of the traditional fireworks, the Hanford girls put on a show in which each form put performed a song or a comedy sketch. It was very entertaining and the girls performed sketches from ‘Hanford Staff’s Got Talent’ to songs they wrote about climate change. The whole evening was great fun and was a lovely excuse for parents to return to Hanford.
