Cross Country Champions
An early start on Sunday saw our two Cross Country teams setting off for the National Championships held at Malvern. Walking the course it became apparent that the wind was going to be a serious factor, the hills they were already prepared for.
The start of a race is always the tricky time and so it proved for Polly RP who was badly spiked and continued to run until the pain set in. She did incredibly well and handled her disappointment so well. There were over a thousand children running in the four races and our two teams did astonishingly well. The U11 team were placed 14th out of 46 schools and 4th in the Small Schools competition.
The U13 team surpassed themselves and were placed 2nd in the main competition and the Small Schools. What a superb effort.
