U10B v Clayesmore U10A.  Home

The girls tried very hard against a strong Clayesmore team. They fought hard throughout the game and listened well to the umpire’s advice. The girls improved their defence play but will need to work hard on their throwing skills. Henriette played a very strong game and was awarded player of the match.

Hanford got off to a good start with 2 early goals. Clayesmore soon switched on to this and stopped us scoring any more goals in the half. However, in the second half Hanford’s passing was hard and fast and we dominated the opposition allowing us to score another 7 goals to win the game 9-0. Strong in both attack and defence, Florence was awarded attacking player of the match and Orlagh from the defence.

Some quick passing and interceptions enabled them to get ahead by a goal at the end of the third quarter and contnued through until the final whistle, winning 16-13. Puddle and Alice were awarded player of the match and Xanthe was the coach’s player.
U13B Away
This game was very even with Clayesmore leading by a goal and then Hanford through out the game. Minty played superbly in the centre court and Scarlett in defence and thoroughly deserved their player of the match awards. Livvie took a tumble in the final quarter but had also scored a number of goals. Hanford won 8-6.
