Open Morning, Saturday 15 October
Next Saturday, 15th October, sees our first Open Morning of the academic year. Our pupils, our best ambassadors, like nothing more than telling people about their magical school; we are all really looking forward to meeting prospective families and their daughters and welcoming them to Hanford.
As well as a chance to be shown around the school by some of our pupils, our visitors will be treated to a short concert in the chapel, and then the visiting girls can try their hand at one of the Hanford challenges we are preparing for the Open Morning. These range from having a go at ‘around the world’ on one of our friendly ponies, to making bread in our very own Forest School, to being shown how to climb a tree in our beautiful grounds. There’s also a Q&A with Mr J, the Head of Hanford, coffee on arrival in our wonderful new Art Barn and a delicious lunch to finish off the morning.
The morning will give you a real taste of what life would be like at Hanford for your daughter – fun, supportive, inspiring and friendly. Our pupils learn resilience, confidence and a sense of adventure and they develop friendships which will last a lifetime. They also learn to work hard which is why Hanford achieves excellent academic results: over the past 8 years girls have been offered in excess of 80 scholarship or exhibition awards and we have a number of Old Hanford girls currently studying at Oxford or Cambridge.
If would like to join us, please contact Karen in Admissions on 01258 860219, or email her at email@example.com. Alternatively please fill in this Open Morning enquiry form.
