Third Form visit the Museum of East Dorset
The third form visited the Museum of East Dorset last week in Wimborne Minster. It was a wonderful way for the pupils to experience what life would have been like for children during the Second World War.
The girls dressed up like evacuees, spent time learning how household chores were done in those days, including wash day with a mangle, experienced school life and played traditional children’s games. It was as a fantastic way for the girls to learn about the Second World War and its impact on family life during the 1940s; a wonderful, fun and informative day was had by all.
